Between the North Sea and the lakes

I'm Pietro Motta, a photographer and filmmaker based in the North East of England, working between the UK and Italy. My work moves between two registers: portraiture — patient, honest, made mostly with available light — and landscape, shaped by the coastline, moorland and weather of the North.

Alongside personal projects I take on a small number of commissions each year: portrait sittings, brand and documentary film, and location work. If you have something in mind, I'd like to hear about it.
