Between the North Sea and the lakes

I'm Pietro Motta, a photographer and filmmaker based in the North East of England, working between the UK and Italy. My work moves between two registers: portraiture — patient, honest, made mostly with available light — and landscape, shaped by the coastline, moorland and weather of the North.

Alongside personal projects I take on a small number of portrait sittings and location commissions each year. If you have something in mind, I'd like to hear about it.

Film and commercial content production lives with my studio, Zynaptik.
